katiesmommy01
anyone have any experience with this? i like that it comes with xp and not vista...
neile457
Yeah that's nice, the 1gb ram is ok with xp. Just a small laptop, though. I have seen a couple laptops with 15" screens or bigger with 2gb ram and dvd burners for under $400 recently, so I wouldn't get this one. Of course those came with vista, which I like. It just took a little getting use too, but it is so much better than xp in my opinion.
GTZDUDE90
Reviews looks positive. It is great for students or anyone on the go. Reviewers have said the keyboard is better than the EEEPC. As a student i'll stick with XP as no company I work for nor my school have any intention on downgrading, i mean upgrading to vista.
sal456
Friend of mines has one but had Windows Linux on it which I very disliked. Overall the laptop is awesome. Nice small size for students, very light weight, very big harddrive, and also has wireless too. Has all the standard ports as any other laptop would. For the price it is a great buy compared to others I've seen priced at over $

GTZDUDE90
There is a version which has Linpus, their linux based OS. The version is available at circuit city for $399.99 and only has a 8GB SSD. This is a much better value with the 120gb hd and windows xp with service pack 3. I don't mind Linux either... But I could use either. This isn't meant to be a main computer for anyone. More of a portability option.
lindaw
I got a similar one last year at the Wal Mart pre-Black Friday sales. It came with Vista and a non-recordable DVD drive. I like it just fine and have had no problems. I like to take it traveling to use in motel rooms for accessing e-mail and watching DVD's. I do have a home desk-top that I use regularly, so this is just for taking back and forth to work and for traveling. I have also used it many times to burn and download music to an MP3 player. I wasn't worried about not having a writable DVD drive, as I can do that at home. Hope this helps.
GTZDUDE90
Reviewers list the 8GB SSD as very slow on this computer. If you keep the linpus os it seems to be ok but when you install a windows os it seems to have problems with ntfs partitions.
cmosbo
Best Buy has the same deal this week and I got one, I like it pretty well so far, the only downer is no CD Rom or DVD drive. But it is small and light which is awesome, it doesnt seem as fragile as bigger laptops. The WiFi works pretty slick even with the weakest of signals.
