Brad
There are 2 ways to add a picture to your post. The first is to use the attachment tool. Click on the paperclip icon on the toolbar: A window will pop up where you can select the file on your computer you'd like to upload. Note that there are size and dimension limits for these attachments: Note that during Black Friday season, you may encounter database or other errors when uploading images as attachments. Your images may be distorted and not appear as they should. In that case, you should host the image elsewhere and use the following method to include it in your post. The second way is to use an image that is hosted somewhere else (such as on another site, in an image-sharing account such as PhotoBucket, etc...) Click the "picture" icon on the toolbar (the one that looks like a mountain scene). A window will pop up: Enter the URL for the location of your image and it will be added to your post. If you have any questions about this topic, please post here.
tokanm
I am really trying to learn to post pictures and I am failing miserably. OK I can upload a photo to photobucket but then I cannot figure out what address or whatever it is to actually post to the topic here. OK bear with me I am old and calculators where a huge deal in my childhood what is a URL ?
dad2trips
URL stands for Uniform Resource Locator - It is basically the the web address of the document or resource on the web. For example; http://www.gottadeal.com/ is a simple URL. For photobucket, after you uplpoad your photos there is a direct link field which contains the URL. Copy that and paste it in the window after you select the Insert Image Icon (see Brad's instructions). Alternatively, you can select Image Code in Photo Bucket and directly copy that URL to your post. That method already places the prior to the URL that is needed for images. For example; http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k433/dad2trips/IMG_0838_edited-1.jpg Good Luck! (BTW - Thats My Tent from BF '07 - I want to make this my avatar - 13 posts to go until I can create a custom avatar!)
Scott
Even easier... If you use PhotoBucket, you only have to click the text under your picture that says "IMG Code" http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m222/GottaGeek/photobucketinstruction.jpg That will automatically copy the proper URL to your clipboard with the code needed for this board. Then, you just have to paste the copied text here. You can do that by right clicking and then choosing paste, or simply pressing Ctrl+V. Viola! http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m222/GottaGeek/t_jackbig.jpg

For Instace When Posting A Deal Thread How Do You Get The Picture From The Stores Website Into The Post? TIA Why not just post the URL of where the picture is? Otherwise, I think you would have to copy that picture and upload to Photobucket.
