RossMAN Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 Think I should wait? That's a tough call, I paid $299 for this and was very satisfied with the price I paid. It also depends if you're a gamer or not. If you are, you may look for a monitor with a faster response time. Or consider upgrading to the 2001FP or 2005FPW but that's around $200 more.
RossMAN Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 Yep appears to be dead. Congratulations to those who got in on this VERY hot deal. Back in the day, I remember when $467 for the 1901FP was a very hot deal.
BobbyDouglas Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 $512.13 is what I paid. I am still happy with the price, and if I needed it again today, I would be happy with $512. Thanks for the update!
Aaron Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Just an FYI, the 20.1-inch LCD is available for a discounted price. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/images/products/320-1578.jpg DELL UltraSharp 2001FP 20.1-inch Flat Panel LCD Monitor with Height Adjustable Stand $549.00[You Save $200.00]
Brad Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 When will the price drop again? It's hard to say. It's been a long time since the last great LCD deals. The most likely time would be in about a month as Dell gets close to the end of their current fiscal quarter.

The most likely time would be in about a month as Dell gets close to the end of their current fiscal quarter.Should I wait for Dell to drop their prices (whether if before, or after BF) or Black Friday to buy a LCD monitor? My limit is $350 after taxes, and shipping.
Brad Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Should I wait for Dell to drop their prices (whether if before, or after BF) or Black Friday to buy a LCD monitor? My limit is $350 after taxes, and shipping. It's hard to say. Usually the monitors at B&M stores are overpriced to begin with, so even on BF there probably won't be that many great deals, and most of the deals that will be available will be for the cheap non-name brand LCDs. So if Dell has some great deals next month, I'd take advantage of them and not worry about if there will be a deal on BF.
Rebirth Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 Thanks, and I really hate to do the rebats for BF. I know I'm not the only one.
RossMAN Posted September 19, 2005 Posted September 19, 2005 I would wait for another deal on a 1905FP if you ever see it for $299 or less, BUY BUY BUY!
