Looking for cheap Xbox 360 Wireless 360 adapter or other alternitives

I need to connect to a Westell Modem/Router Wirelessly by either 802.11 b or g standards. I'd like to do things in a normal fashion, but the adapter price is a bit high for me. In essence could lead me to consider alternative options. In short if anyone knows of any good deals lurking about, I'd be appreciative if you could link me to them. Also if there is a viable solution w/o the mandated MS 360 adapter I'd like to know. In anycase TY for your support.

According to my DS just get an ethernet cable...won't be wireless but much cheaper. This

is what he uses for both the 360 and the Wii. There is no other option unless you want to spend the $100 for the adapter

 

He plays online all the time, Halo 3, Call of Duty 4, Gears of War and is anxiously awaiting

Fallout 3.

This is true. If the 360 is close enough to the router, you can just run a cable.

 

If not, you don't have to get the 360 specific wireless adapter. You can go with a wireless gaming adapter that will save you a little bit of money. It uses the ethernet port on the gaming system to connect to a wireless bridge. You can also use a range extender or access point to get the same thing. It doesn't have to be "gaming" specific.

 

These low-cost APs are reported to work with the 360, but I can't promise anything as I haven't teste it myself.

My 360s nowhere near the router. So that's not possible, but thx Scott I'll check these out, but if anyone else has suggestions by all means i'd love to hear them. Thx once again.
