candlesbytammy1 Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 I have searched and can't find what to do. I have started another thread and am wanting to post a picture. I did search other forums on how to do so, but nothing is working. II do have photobucket and I think also a few pictures on gottadeal, but can't get any onto the thread.I click on the little icon that is the square with the sun and mountain to insert image.....I earsed the http:// that was preloaded and then copied the IMG code from photobucket..... I think clicked ok and this is what I get IMG]http://gi263.photobucket.com/groups/ii121/4PXP9DSQCG/062007.jpg[/img] I did preview the post and no actual photo just the info above....can anyone help...what am I doing wrong? I see pictures on here and just want to put some of mine too....thank you in advance for any help.
zingerhil Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 It should look like this: example See how you have an extra "IMG" on each end? Delete those and it will work. http://gi263.photobucket.com/groups/ii121/4PXP9DSQCG/062007.jpg
stationchief Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 The easiest way to post a pic in the forum is to copy the link to the image, hit the 'Insert Image' button you see in the message toolbox, and paste the link in the box that opens up. Looks like you hit the button twice or something. BTW, candlesbytammy1, your puppy is half naked!
candlesbytammy1 Posted July 30, 2008 Author Posted July 30, 2008 got it to work.....I dont know why the 'IMG' shows up twice, but if I delete the extra set it works....THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU
mudechevy Posted July 30, 2008 Posted July 30, 2008 The IMG code shows up twice because photobucket has the img tag option. If you copy from that option with the img tag then you can just paste directly into the post. If you are using a link without the img codes that just start with http:// it's much easier to click on the little mountain pic and paste the link in there. It adds tags for you, hence the double img tags in your post. I hope that made a little bit of sense.
jenesparza Posted September 19, 2008 Posted September 19, 2008 http://i168.photobucket.com/albums/u174/JENESPARZA/PictureorVideo044.jpg I;m trying this out to see if i can do it. man learn something new everyday.
scrabbler Posted October 11, 2008 Posted October 11, 2008 http://i467.photobucket.com/albums/rr39/abentley1204/latesummer2008084.jpg At photobucket to post a pic, use the IMG code for forums and bulletin boards.

lakerb Posted January 28, 2009 Posted January 28, 2009 It worked! I'm working from Picasa web albums, and I think they're all different. I just right clicked on the pic, went down to Properties, copied the location (http:...) and pasted it into the box that comes up here when you click the mountain (insert picture) icon. Whew. Good luck.

You would have to resize it with software and repost it. This is a small pic and that is why it is small.

Brad Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 "http://www.apple.com/imac/"]http://www.apple.com/imacThe address you are trying to post isn't the address to an actual picture - it's just a web site. You need to get the URL web address of the actual picture file (which will usually end in .jpg or .gif) for it to show up.

Brad Posted November 18, 2009 Posted November 18, 2009 right-click on it, go to properties and then find the address (URL) and copy it. or if you are using firefox, you can just right-click on it and click "copy image location"
