Save 15% (or more) on your monthly iPhone 3G AT&T bill!

College students! Did you get the new iPhone yesterday? Then you may be eligible for a 15% FAN discount. All you need is your student e-mail address to apply the discount on your monthly bill. Also works on Family Plans.

College students, as well as employees of eligible companies, are qualified for at least a 15% FAN (Foundation Account Number) discount through AT&T (applicable to voice & data, hardware excluded). Unlike the original iPhone, the new iPhone is a traditionally subsidized phone as they no longer have to share revenue with Apple. So in theory, this means AT&T should treat the iPhone 3G just like any of their other smart phones and is therefore eligible for student/corporate discounts.

Just ask AT&T rep before signing contract if you qualify.

20% off for Armed Forces

15% off for local government or state employees

21% off for Dell

20% off for Government employee

this actually works for all phones, not just the i phone, but it's just the primary line on a family plan

Thanks for the heads up- my oldest is heading off to college in a couple of weeks. I signed up and it said we qualified so hopefully we will get some kind of a discount. It indicated 10.00 off the family plan we are in, that would be great. :)

Thanks! I not only am a college student (graduate student), but I also work for county government and the fiancee is employed by the evil entity known as Clear Channel! So we already get the CC discount...I am wondering if we can get the iPhone discount also...hmm

My husband works for AT&T and I teach school so actually we qualify for two discounts but have only been allowed the "best" of the two....:yuck:

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news!

GOOD LUCK though!!!! Maybe your local store isn't aware! Do what you can!
