No this isn't a "state of the art" machine and probably won't play the latest games due to the integrated graphics. Since it comes with Windows Vista, it is highly recommended that you upgrade to 2GB RAM. You don't have to upgrade the RAM immediately, you can upgrade later and this desktop will function with 1GB RAM. Again I would highly recommend upgrading from 1GB to 2GB RAM for $25.
turtle* Posted July 9, 2008 Posted July 9, 2008 you cant exactly upgrade these SLIM tower designs can you? i wasn't able to find a similiar deal on the 400 model or the normal 200... like rossman said great deal for the average user but the door might be closed when it comes down to upgrading.

Xfeg Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 If I go for all the upgrades, will my kids be able to play games, Im sorry I neglected to state that..I really appreciate all the advice:)You should upgrade the video card too... and go with more ram. It isnt really a gaming set up... there are better ones. But with a monitor its a good deal ... sorry im a bit rambly today.
turtle* Posted July 13, 2008 Posted July 13, 2008 a video card upgrade would be needed if the kids want to play games. i think these require a slim line type of video card which doesn't give you a whole lot of selections but i can be wrong and it could take a typical PCI-E type card.
