mywarmbluefleece Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 Someone on a teacher message board I frequent said the Staples penny sale started today. I don't see it in any of my ads or any other message board. Can someone confirm or deny this?

bharper44 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 So what is on sale for a penny this week? My newspaper was missing half the ads.
becca0884 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 It starts Sunday July 6th. I called and the manager at my Staples confirmed.
fluffkin79 Posted July 3, 2008 Posted July 3, 2008 (edited) Was it advertised in the sunday ad? Are there details on the web somewhere? I tried the staples website, but couldn't find anything. ETA : Okay, I did some research and found this info on other boards. I can't confirm, but rumor is there will be hand sanatizer, folders, and 8-pack pencils for $.01 each, three-ring binders for $.25, and FAR highlighters. Edited July 3, 2008 by fluffkin79
mywarmbluefleece Posted July 3, 2008 Author Posted July 3, 2008 Haha, well the person that posted it thought today was Sunday! Several other people on the board say they can confirm the ad because somehow they can see it although the site won't let me.
cmattison Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I found the ad. Go to staples.com - then Weekly Ads and enter you zip. At the top under the words "WEEKLY ADS" there are 2 tabs, one for This Week's Ad and one for Sneak Peak. If you click on Sneak Peak, the ad is there. I have never noticed the Sneak Peak tab before!
love2beurwifey Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 Hello I was wondering what the req would if I purchase school supplies I want to know how much of each I can get with a teachers card>
mywarmbluefleece Posted July 4, 2008 Author Posted July 4, 2008 It depends on the individual Staples. Some allow teachers to go way over the limit, and some are incredibly strict with the limit. Good luck!
threelittlecupcakes Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 I love shopping Staples online, only wish I could get the deals online also, no Staples near me!
cmattison Posted July 4, 2008 Posted July 4, 2008 So is the sale is only for teachers???It is not only for teachers. They just have bins set up in the front of the store with the various items in them.
fluffkin79 Posted July 5, 2008 Posted July 5, 2008 Help educate a non-Staples shopper! What is the Easy Rebate (for the highlighters). Is that one that comes off right away at the registers?

Is that one that comes off right away at the registers? No, easy rebate is that you can go online and send rebate that way. It gets back to you quicker and you can track it.
