I'm thinking of getting an external hard drive, to store pictures and work related materials, cuz I'm bogging down my laptop.

I want to say that thats what i paid for mine on BF07 from BB. I've only used it once, but it paid for itself. I made a movie of out church Christmas play and hooked to my laptop and played it at church.

 

And now i'm fixing to use it for youtube/Godtube downloads for Teen camp. I think you will be happy with it.

Need another opinion? I love Western Digital products. Look for rebates elsewhere on some of their products.

I don't think this is a deal, I am skeptical about it because I find portable hard drives are risky.

I actually bought this today (I had a 10% off coupon from overstock emailed to me - so the price was even less).

 

I am a little skeptical - do I need a back up of my back ups.... but I figure as an additional place to store photos (rather than the only place) I should be fine. As of now, all my photos are on one hard drive and I would be so very upset to lose them all.....I figure this is my insurance.

External Backup HD's are great devices....this deal isn't a steal since it is only 250GB (I have seen 500GB for ~$90) but it still isn't bad. NewEgg runs specials on these all the time.
