Venusaur
The water in Arizona is very hard and tastes disgusting. All of my cups are getting stained. What's the best water filtration system out there for a good value?
DaveL
If it is due to hard water and it is that bad, you may want to consider a water softener for your whole house. Imagine what it is doing to your pipes, plumbing fixtures, etc. The best water softeners I have used are made by Kinetico. They are pricey, but don't use as much salt or any electricity so they pay for themselves. If you are looking for just a water filtration system, I would recommend the Brita one that you connect to your faucet. However if the water is that bad, you will go thru a lot of filters. Here is a link to the Brita one I am talking about: Link
Venusaur
Thanks that helps a lot. I wouldn't want to spend a lot of money on replacing filters.

ljvoskuil
Wow I just talked with my sister last night, and she is living in Arazona right now. She always liver in Wisconsin and then moved to Arazona about 3 years ago. She was just telling me how bad the water tasted there. Said she had to get used to it, as she does not have the money to go out and buy it every week.
Giggles
Our well water was so bad it tested the hardest on the charts. We got a water softener from Lowe's and it has made a big difference. Think of your hair, body and cooking with the hard water. And don't forget your pets, they are drinking it too. Yes they are expensive, but worth it. Our water was turning everything orange. That was the iron in it. It looked like swamp water after it settled in a container. Get a water softener.
