bargaingal2
Wow I would not be happy to have been on that flight as well. My daughter has asthma and that would really bother her. Hoping we dont experience that when we fly in June. We have always flown southwest but Airtran was a lot cheaper this time. People should realize that there are allergies and such, unfortunately they dont realize or just plain out dont care
boblabontefan
UPDATE*** I heard back once again from customer service. They are sorry for the inconvenience, they do not annouce to their passengers if there is going to be a pet on board (max of 3 animals per flight) and they are giving us a voucher for $25 to use by April of next year towards another flight. I still have to write back to them and thank them for their time. We might use the voucher, not sure yet. I am also going to suggest to them that they do announce to their passengers before boarding that animals will be on board and if anyone is allergic to please let them know. Bargaingal - I suggest to you that if your daughter has asthma that you inform the crew just before boarding so you can try to change seating arrangements if a pet is on board and seated near you. Who knows, if coach is full you might get a free bump up to business class. I hope you have a good trip in June!

boblabontefan
Honestly I didn't ask for anything - so their offer of $25 voucher is probably their lowest refund. However, it isn't even enough for one person to bump up to business class. That is a $40 to $80 additional cost. Now had I asked for a specific refund, that might have produced a different amount from them. (Just trying to give the company the benefit of the doubt.) jones10021
I've never flown with Airtran, but seeing the reviews I decided against it. I'd rather pay more but feel comfortable and safe. :)
