fomoco
One of my very good friends' father just passed and I was looking for an idea of something really cool to get her. Not the typical flowers or angel or stepping stone - something different that will last. She LOVES scrapbooking and he loved to fish and watch his grandsons at sports. I'm thinking going that route- scrapbooking... IDEAS? Thoughts? TIA!
oneannm
How about a donation to a charity in his name. When my cousin passed away, a lot of people made donations in her name to the local animal shelter she was fond of - the shelter sent a card to her parents making them aware of the donations made in her name. JackJack
What about a shadowbox frame, with a fishing theme that you can put pics in. If her DH or someone could get you some pics of him with his grandsons, that would be nice to add. I have seen some really nice shadow memory boxes. Or a really nice framed photo of him? guilliam
When my grandma passed away a few months ago a relative sent a throw with Footprints on it. They got it from the local flower shop and it came with a display stand. It was a beautiful display. They make figurines to sit on the tip, the one we got was an angel but they had others too. I have made several of these for people and it would be a nice memory to hang on a wall or they have some that sit on tables. I got mine at Michael's but I am sure there are other places. You can scrapbook in the frame or buy one that is a theme.
