tsa
HELP!!!! My daughter all of a sudden decided she "needs" an American Girl doll. She is 10 1/2. She read all of the books probably 2 years ago but didn't want a doll then. So, why she has to have one now, I don't know. Anyway, is there a place online or a place to go to that has them more reasonable than American Girl?? I can't imagine this being played with that much. frmgrl
My daughter loved her AG dolls. She actually saved her money(from bdays&xmas, etc) to buy her first one. Then being the lucky girl that she is, her Grandfather bought her one for Xmas a year later. My DD is now too old for them, but I have found them at Garage sales for around 20 dollars. I snatch them up and give them to my nieces. A good place to look is in the wealthier neighborhoods, and they usually advertise them in the garage sale portions of your local paper. Another option is ebay?????
nat1jen
They just offered free shipping that ended a week or 2 ago. It's VERY hard to find AG dolls discounted. If you find them on ebay for a good price, they are usually in bad shape. I have found that the dolls on ebay sometimes go OVER retail once you pay shipping. You might also try looking on Craigslist in your area. My youngest daughter is 10, and she appreciates AG dolls even more than when she was 7 or 8 . I thought that the dolls were overpriced, but I have to say that she has gotten so much use out of the dolls. They are her favorite things. She saves her birthday money, Christmas money, etc and buys some of the dolls herself.
tjredsox4
They don't have the regular size dolls, but Barnes and Noble has some small dolls(about 11" I think), books, and some minor accessories.
