tokanm
My DS will be turning 21 in February and he wants an Ipod. I went to Best Buy but left more confused than I was when I went in:eek: What size GB to buy, is the touch screen worth the money etc? He listens to lots of music and his college offers them free music downloads via their own website. He also wants to be able to connect it to his car stereo, does that make a difference. Guest ZeroGravity107
No, don't get the touch. Just buy the 80gb Classic. Easy enough. I consider myself to have a lot of music compared to most of my own friends, and I only have 42gbs. It will take anybody a LONG time to acquire 80gbs of music. Simple, cheapest, best choice (IMO)
guilliam
I disagree, I would buy the itouch for a college student. It has wi-fi and most colleges have wireless internet. Small enough he can take it with him easily.

Nikki1524
If he isnt dead set on the IPOD Creative labs make great players, I have had and own many of them, They dont require internet to access music, you can use windows to do all of that. tiredmom214
I have a 30 gig...it was filled as soon as I got it home. I still have tons of music that won't fit on it. If someone is really in to music, you can never have enough GB;) I will be getting a new one soon:)
mrn8
I found that if I load my mp3 players up with everthing I've got, I don't listen to 90% of it. With as simple as iTunes and the iPod interface, I'd say ask him which he prefers and get him that. The Touch would be a nice organizational tool, as well as a good music / video player. The iPod Classic is much more pocket size, though, that the touch.
