Sugar&Spice Posted January 28, 2008 Posted January 28, 2008 I don't know where to tell you to get a good deal but we got a set a few years ago and I LOVE them. One of the best purchases we've ever made!!!! Our downstairs was always freezing cold in winter. Not anymore! The set cost a little more but I highly recommend them....they have a millivolt system that kicks them on and off. They have a thermostat that mounts on the wall (or wherever you want it) to monitor the temp, so they kick on and off just like a furnace would. That way, the room doesn't overheat when you have them on. The thermostat does have a small wire that runs to the logs but ours runs along the edge of the hearth and up the wall by the drapes to the thermostat, so you really don't see it at all.
