Sue-Z-Q Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 lots of pans say not for glass stove tops, why??I was wondering the same thing.
elena_398 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 they can scratch. Best for the coil top stoves.
jorjenb Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 I was wondering the same thing. The enamel color can fuse to the cooktop if you boil a pan dry or leave on the stove top at a high heat. It is only a problem on the colored cookware!
justjessie99 Posted January 15, 2008 Posted January 15, 2008 lots of pans say not for glass stove tops, why?? Isnt that what most non gas stoves are now?electric coil ones... that is what we have.

herculesmomma Posted January 16, 2008 Posted January 16, 2008 I know only certain things work for cooktop stoves, but found this non stick enamel cast iron frying pan on Sams online which said it can be used on a cooktop: http://www.samsclub.com/shopping/navigate.do?dest=5&item=375081 Just thought I'd post it in case it opens up options for some folks. :)
