  7. davephillyj...FWIW...I've had my Toshiba D-VR5SU VCR & DVD Video Recorder for almost 2 years now, & it has seen a great deal of use with both formats. It was a great deal at under $200 then......Maybe check out the Toshiba line now, and or check out Consumers ratings.... If you only need DVD/VCR 'play'.....I have to agree with freesia and your own conclusion that the cheaper ones are just that....another 'nearly-disposable' consumable!!!!
  8. Could not get ch5127 code to work, so bought a couple of clearance items, and was offered a pair of terry slides for$3.19......Used CHBRISTOL code to get the $29.00 windbreaker FREE....Thanks to All!!!:)

  11. I have a "Seal-a Meal" dealy from Rival for extra-long term frozen goods (expensive up front, & bags/rolls pricey)...Haven't heard of the 'Green Bags', but am planning on checking out the new mini-vac sealer (small hand-held, with re-sealable bags) made by Glad I think....Looks like a good idea, & could be a good alternative for shorter term....Anyone know more about these too?? TIA

  16. What a "Deal-Killer"....Something like this just came up on the "need" list,....Yikes!! I searched for any codes (FS)...no luck...Will keep looking
  17. That's a good question...If it were a bad one "out of the box". I'm sure they would, but I think recharge-ables are considered a 'consumable' item anymore... Here's a link for warranty inquiries....Please keep us posted... http://www.sears.com/shc/s/nb_10153_12608_NB_CSwarrantyinformation?adCell=A3

  20. Thanks a bunch, I just received a JCP email with a "generous" offer of FS on orders over $99...!!! Code 49WHITE ........FWIW
  21. Again, I'm with the Marcster.....Depending on where you'll be placing it, (viewing distance), keep in mind that not all programming is in HD yet, and when the signal switches back to digital, the aspect ratio reverts to "Pillar Box" format, thus reducing the image size....For example...I replaced my 36" conventional with the 42" Olevia, (Great set/Value).....When the major network news in HD is on, full screen...When they cut to local news/weather snippit...it converts to pillar box, reducing image size, essentially giving me a 32" picture.....If you change the format to "Stretch", then the non-HD image is out of proportion... Just something to keep in mind FWIW......:)
  22. FWIW.....Shopko has a swivel rocker w/ ottoman, usually under $100.....But I bought one and consider it JUNK!!....Your opinion may be different....Mine is now...."If you're going to spend alot of time in it, spend a little more $$ on it"!!
  23. Yeah, same here......Decided to "sleep on it" last night when I was going to order a bunch of the 22 oz. jars, & naturally they are also OOS this AM...!!!
  24. When I found these last night, they showed as out of stock
  25. Same here, I've been in 2 different Walmarts this week, Totally inconsistent on markdowns...& the same junk in the clearance aisle(s). Picked up a Spiderman 'wall-graffix' at one store for $1.00......Saw the same thing today at different store marked down to $7.00 !!??!!
