Promom
Has anyone used this site, undercovertourist.com to buy tickets for WDW? I got the link from mousesavers and they are cheaper than the military discount, but I'm scared to purchase online unless someone has.
rae662000
Promom, I have not used them personally, but have heard great things about them, they are reputable. One thing to remember your qualify for discounted tickets thru the military. Give me a minute to try and find them and I will post...
Promom
Thanks for the info. I was thinking of using the military discount, but I read on mousesavers that you have to have 50% of the party military and it's going to be 1 military and 4 civilians, so I was scared to use it. the site also said that WDW could refuse the tickets at the gate, don't want THAT to happen. rae662000
Oh, while I am checking on that....The Disney Store also sells discounted tickets....I have purchased mine from them before. They are replaceable if lost or stolen and can be upgraded.
Promom
Thanks, I didn't know about the disney store. We're going in late June, do you think the discount will change, whether we should get them now or wait for a better deal? Do you know what the store discount is? rae662000
Okay here what I have....bare in mind that I am not military so I do not know the specific acronyms so here goes. Use the Shades of Green (SOG) link here - http://www.shadesofgreen.org/ and compare them with your local rec. Sometimes they are cheaper sometimes not.Only SOG has the stars and stripes tickets (they are like length of stay type) And as long as someone in your party has military id you should be okay. I don't think they expect everyone to be military. I then it is a hit or miss with anyone checking id. Now I will answer your other question.:)
rae662000
Thanks, I didn't know about the disney store. We're going in late June, do you think the discount will change, whether we should get them now or wait for a better deal? Do you know what the store discount is?Okay the discount at the store is the same and only changes if disneyworld raises its prices.I try to pay for my trip before I go so, purchase mine as I have the money pulled together for them. And something to think about is buying 10 day non-expiring because if you will make another trip in the future you will already have your tickets for any upcoming trip. Now they can be a little pricey when you add the non expiring option but it will save you in the long run for another trip. Let me pull my ticket receipt and I will give you an idea of pricing. dyjama
I Have Used Undercovertourist Through Mousesavers And Had No Problem, Fast Shipping And Free!!!
rae662000
Just checked and advised that ticket at the Disney store are the following: Did not know what type of ticket you wanted so I just picked something for you to compare. 5 day MWY (these are basic nothing extra added) Adult $228.98 child $190.64 7 day MWY (these are basic also) Adult $233.24 child $193.81 They INCLUDE taxes. I understand the the advanced purchase you use to get online is no more and I believe these are the same as on Disney website. Compare them with what you might get thru the military discount and bare in mind that if disney does a price increase these are subject to change. And if these prices are more than Undercover tourist than consider using them
ehstrojette
looked on Underground tourist and for a party of 5 3 adults 2 kids for 5 days.. you get one day extra for free so it would be 6 days for 1035.75 with taxes included and free shipping, def. cheaper.. disboards swear by this broker. I will be buying mine through there when we get our tickets
deljack27
Promom, Tickets seem to be cheaper at Shades of Green. For ex: 6 day adult base ticket 204.50 SOG 220.95 U.T. 6 day adult hopper 249.50 SOG 263.95 U.T. They also offer the other add-ons as well as the Stars and Stripes tickets that were previously mentioned. And there is no tax if you buy them from SOG. Promom
Thanks for alll the help. Now I just have to wait until this friday to see if daughter's boyfriend can get off so I can make reservations. Our family loves WDW and daughter's boyfriend has NEVER been. We're planning on going in late June and I'm already singing "It's a small world" around the house. Thinking about getting matching mickey polo shirts for the whole gang, which I saw at the disneystore outlet for 14.99 and 50%off.
