drfish10 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 Looking to purchase fishing rods/reels and tackle. Recently lost all in a fire. Really looking for a deal on a Shimano Tld20 lever drag reel among other things
rachealb Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 maybe sportsauthority.com (they have pretty good clearance sometimes) or Dicks?
copados1993 Posted January 7, 2008 Posted January 7, 2008 First off, vey sorry about the fire. I know that my DH swears by The Bass Pro shop. Check on there and I would sign up for getting their emails. My DH gets them and we get special savings for email only customers for discounts. Best of luck to you.
drfish10 Posted January 8, 2008 Author Posted January 8, 2008 Thanks to those who posted replys in this difficult time. Still looking for any and all deals re. fishing supplies, tackle, and collectibles for hopefully a new home at some point in time.
copados1993 Posted January 8, 2008 Posted January 8, 2008 I just went back onto Basspro.com and I see that they range in price from 229-259. I'll keep my eye out if I get a discount code from them and will send it your way. Right now they don't seem to be on sale there. Is this a decent price for these? ??
emptynest-2 Posted January 10, 2008 Posted January 10, 2008 I know that its hard but what beside the rod and reel are you looking for? I'll keep and eye on ebay for you on the reel. Rods are hard to ship for me
Silverstreak24 Posted January 12, 2008 Posted January 12, 2008 DrFish, sorry to hear about your fire. I hope you and your family were physically unhurt. As far as fishing reels go, like other people mentioned check out Bass Pro Shops if there is one nearby. Also, check out Dick's Sporting Goods they are pretty good. Stay away from Sports Authority, the prices are no better and the in stock selection is next to nothing. You may want to www.thehulltruth.com It is an excelllent resource for all your boating and fishing needs. Not to mention someone may know of a place to find good prices on your TLDs. The site is highly recomended. I've been over there about 4 years.
