Venusaur
The person I share a room with snores so I need one of those noisemaking machines that makes waterfall or thunderstorm sounds or whatever. Anyone know any good deals for one? :)
hopeky94
I think mine came from Walmart a few yrs ago, but can't remember when or how much-- sorry! But my advice would be wait till after Christmas (if you can stand it that long, LOL) to see if there's a good clearance sale on alarm clocks and such, as they are usually included with those. Have you considered a fan as a noisemaker? That's what I used for several years, before finding my sound machine...
cianco301
I already use a fan...but that can get chilly even turned away and in the hall. I wish I could find one with a 'fan' or white noise instead of chirping or water running.

btvsfreak
I got one for my mother for Christmas 2 years ago at Linens and Things and she still uses it every night and loves it. It was $19.99 but if you find a 20% off coupon it's even better. It still works perfectly and has five different sounds, waterfall, rainforest, ocean, thunderstorm and heartbeat, for babies. You should check there and Bed Bath and Beyond. Good Luck!

I'll write myself a note and check to see what brand, model, etc. mine is tonight, then let you know tomorrow (if you haven't found one by then!)... :)

hopeky94
I forgot to look at mine last night but was pretty sure it's a Homedics brand... but I couldn't find one like it on amazon or nextag! But I DID find one exactly like mine on ebay...HoMedics Sound Therapy Machine- White- works great I wonder why none of the newer Homedics ones I see don't have the white noise feature anymore??? HTH! Look around on Amazon- I saw another one (Conair, I think?) that has 10 different sounds, including white noise...
cianco301
I found one at Walmart (totally by accident/I wasn't even looking for it). It was only $14.99 I think and has white noise along with a bunch of others. I think it's by Conair. It's a cheapy but all I really wanted!! I looked for them online today and they were all beyond my price range. $15 plus no shipping is a great deal for me! Here is a link to the one I bought from Walmart tonight.http://www.conair-store.com/product_detail.asp?T1=CON+SU1W&HDR=WELLNESS
