I got a refurb e250 off woot.com a while ago & it is GREAT - its expandable up to 4g of memory & it looks really slick. Plus, you can put rockbox on it & really get to using it! rockbox.org.

 

If it doesn't say refurb (mine does) on the back, it would be a great present!

The mp3 player itself is VERY easy to use. If you don't know how to put songs on it... well... at least it has a fm tuner for you to listen to the radio!

 

The rockbox set up would be a little advanced for someone that was techno-illiterate. :)
