genoandkiddo Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 I need a gift for my great Aunt. I am stumped and Have no idea. She is in her 50's and is one of those people who have everything. I love her like she is my mother. She doesn't have a daughter so I would be the closest. Please help me.
justjessie99 Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 use the Kodak code in the online deal forum, and get her something with a pic on it... even for the person who has everything... something personalized with a pic is different...LOL find a family photo, or something...... or a Gift card to a spa/hair salon... everyone could use that through out the year. good luck

She cried.) and sis and I went together for her birthday and bought her a gift card for Magic spa's and Casino. I think that is what it was called. She likes to do arts and crafts but she works on so many that I can't keep up. Oh this really bites, I really don't know what to get her. She is the only one left. And I am literally panicing, because we are getting close to Christmas. She doesn't watch tv or movies and she rarely reads books. Now you know why it is so hard to buy for her.
shopping mom Posted December 11, 2007 Posted December 11, 2007 Do a craft gift basket, Go to Micheals or a store like it and put in all kids of things. Scissors, punches, glue gun, glue sticks, stamps, ink pads, threads, etc.. a gift card to the store too Do a personal basket body washes, soaps, lotions, manicure kit, polish, gift certificate for a pedicure, hair cut, a small massager, candles etc.... A digital picture frame with a sd card full of good pictures like what you used on the calendar She sounds like the kind of lady who appreciates you thinking of her so I know she will love whatever you decide to get her.
mgmckny Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Favorite Candy? Or specialty type food? SOMething she might not buy for herself but loves?? Or a favorite restaurant that you can do a gift card for and then tuck it in something small?

genoandkiddo Posted December 12, 2007 Author Posted December 12, 2007 Thank you so much for your idea's. I love her very much and I want to get her something she will enjoy. Your idea's are great now I think I can get her something. The craft basket is a really good idea, she is old school and I think she might enjoy that. Maybe I could put in it a gift card to Joann's (No Michael's here). I know she shops there alot. Maybe I could buy her some scrap material so she can make a quilt oh wait she would make it for me. I will find something for her at Joann's I am sure.
Scanner420 Posted December 12, 2007 Posted December 12, 2007 Coffee or Cocoa baskets are nice. You can't go wrong with a meal.....take her to dinner at a new place that you think she'll like.
genoandkiddo Posted December 13, 2007 Author Posted December 13, 2007 I got her an awesome gift basket. In it, I put a scrapbook of my children's year, had them make her a card, a gift card to Joann's, some yarn, a small sewing kit (she lost a button one day in October and she complained she didn't have anything to sew the button back on, she borrowed mine, we were out shopping), some cross stitch and a scrapbook kit. I think she will love this. Thank you to everyone who responded, I am finsihed.
