We will be needing Batteries for this Christmas

Anyone have an any suggestions as to where I can get the best deal on batteries this holiday season?

 

We need AA's AAA's 9V--heck I guess we will be needing all sizes!!!!!!!

try ebay or costco both usually have good deals for batteries. You can usually get batteries on ebay for about half off if you buy a large enough lot.

Check Walgreen's ad, on the front there is a coupon for their brand of Ultra Alkaline 16pk of AAA or AA for $5.99. I usually get mine there. Sometimes they run buy one get one or even have a 24 pack. You might compare this price to what you have seen.

Also in Walgreens ad on page 10, they have a coupon for the heavy duty, instead of the ultra and they are buy one at 2.79 get one free of 6 pk AAA or AA, so that's 12 for 2.79.

I got some at BJ's last week and they had an extra $1 off coupon in the little handout they give you by the door. I also often buy batteries at Costco. I think I usually pay about $9.99 for 48 AA.

For most batteries, I recommend rechargeables for obvious reason (save $ in the long run, easier, etc.).

 

Batteries.com sometimes has good sales as well. :)

I definately recommend rechargable. We bought a set with charger last year and don't know what I ever did with out them. My DS2 however bought a huge pack of AA at best buy last week for $5. I picked up a bigger charger this year for DS1 along with all the rechargable batteries he will need for the the toys I bought the grandbabies so I know they will be able to enjoy there toys when ever they want without worrying about not having a battery.

I get mine at Ingles (grocery store). They are frequently on sale for .98 a 4-pk, and I use teh dollar off coupons. So for me, free is cheaper than rechargeables :)

I am guessing this is a no-name brand. Like the ones you get "free" when you buy something that has the batteries included. They last about 3 days.

The brand is batteries.com and they work pretty good. Before I ordered them, the threads I read said that they lasted quite a while even when used in kid's toys that are used all the time.

The ones you get free are usually not alkaline batteries - they are just the "heavy duty" ones. Those do not last very long in a high use item. Alkaline batteries do last longer no matter what brand they are.

Actually the batteries are great. One of the best "off brands" I've boughten. I buy these batteries from them ever year and they last (kids toys, etc).

If I need non-rechargeable batteries, I always buy the Kirkland Signature brand from Costco. There are 48 batteries in the pack and they sell for around $9.00. Kirkland Signature has to be of the same quality as the leading national brand, and they are always cheaper.
