money13
Hello all, I'm looking for a TV for my gram'pa he does not have a cable box so the tv has to be cable ready and go up to at least 70 channels I think, about a 20" or a little bigger. Please let me know your suggestions, Thank you

Azzycat
I'd look at Bestbuy, try to find a small TV on clearance or open box. Target has good deals if you keep an eye out. Or I'd try craigslist, there are A LOT of TVs on mine because people bought new ones in the last few weeks. I'd also sign up for your local freecycle group. www.freecycle.org, search for your local groups. Post you want to find Grandpa a TV for Christmas, people tend to help out seniors or have ideas on where you can get one for a reasonable price. :)

valuemaster
Thanks Azzy for the Freecycle tip, I hadn't heard of them, (out in the sticks), After checking it out, I'm gonna join......also, Money13....FWIW...I would seriously check out Freecycle, as I have a hunch that with the large # of LCD-TV purchases & upgrades this season...a used but nice TV should be easy to come by...Good Luck

I'm on 4 different groups (they are each rather small). It's a great way to pass on your un-needed items, and to clear out your children's closets and toys and make way for new holiday stuff. :) I've picked up a lot of stuff from others, too.
