timlexus Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 First, would like to thank everyone who makes this site such a great stop on the net, discovered it just before BF and love it! So my question is regarding MIR via CC. I purchased a digital camera that came with a free printer during BF. Well, it turns out that i didn't press the link to "purchase" the printer, but i really want it, and the sale is over now. The printers is an Epson r280, worth about $75.... what do you think my options are to ? Should i go to the store and explain, call up customer service, or just forget the printer (based on the negative experiences others are having with CC)? Looking foward to y'alls feedback :)
bpr Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 I would try it, but that is me. I don't have a problem with CC.
freesia39 Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 go ahead and try it - call up customer service since you bought it online. it may be easier to argue with them over the phone than in person.
HAnderson Posted November 27, 2007 Posted November 27, 2007 it wouldnt hurt to try it but i agree since you ordered it call up customer service they would probably be easier to deal with over the phone.
timlexus Posted November 27, 2007 Author Posted November 27, 2007 With the courage i mustered up from this group, new found bravery to do phone battle with the oversea forces that Circuit city employees, i made my call today, a mere 59 mins..... My impression is that the costumer service did what they could do, and they told me that since i didn't click the link that i wasn't able to receive it (my argument was i didn't know a link had to be clicked, it never said it anywhere). Since the BF sale is over, theres nothing they can do for that price. I did speak with a supervisor who told me that one option was to cancel the order (with the order already shipped, 'd have to return it to a store.) And then repurchase it online because they still had the deal. The 'deal' after black Friday is $30 more, so much for a 'free' printer, But i figured a $30 epson printer is still a good deal in the end. So, they transfer me to a product advisor who was friendly and nice, but the printer was all out of stock in my area. Now i can't even purchase the item. The agent, trying to be very through, searched the site and offered me up different cameras in stock that came with free printers (like a rebel for the bargain price of $760, a mere $600 more then my model). I politely declined that offer and other similar ones. Since I do spend time in LA, i did a zip code search and found a pluthra of printers & cameras available in that location, so granted the sale doesn't end before i get there, i'll be the owner of one epson printer for the free price of only $30
