BobbyDouglas Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 I need a 512MB flash drive for my mom. I can wait another month or so for a really good deal. Is now the time to buy? And is this what I should buy?
RossMAN Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Bobby - This is a very good deal and worth considering. Radio Shack should have SanDisk® Cruzer™ Micro 512MB USB Flash Drive for $19.99 after $20 MIR beginning March 15th. Don't worry it will be posted on the main GottaDeal.com web site :)
BobbyDouglas Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 Thanks man! I guess we will wait until the 15th to purchase it :)

mrn8 Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 Looks like this is available now... with an additional $10 rebate making this an even hotter deal at $9.99 + tax after rebates! Thanks, I was just looking to upgrade my 256mb one, since I've just run out of space on it for all the apps I hold on there.
i-bystander Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 Thanks, I was just looking to upgrade my 256mb one, since I've just run out of space on it for all the apps I hold on there. Are you going to pick one up in-store or order it online? I'd like to get one but the local stores are all out, and I don't want to pay $5.50 for shipping. (Shipping is free for orders over $50).
mrn8 Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 All the local stores to me have them in-stock, so I was going to get them there. Need some help on this one?
i-bystander Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 Yes, please! Did you call them to verify that they do actually have it in stock? Their site said the stores around me had it in stock, but when I called them they were all out already. If you can pick one up for me when you get one you'll be my favorite GDer ever!
mrn8 Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 I'm going to stop in the one that's a few blocks from my house tonight, and I'll pick up an extra if they have it in stock. It's the least known of the RadioShacks in town, so I usually am able to find what I need there.

Brad Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 According to Pricegrabber, that additional $10 rebate is supposed to be only from purchases from DataVision.com. Although it doesn't mention that on the rebate form. Of course it doesn't hurt to try as the RadioShack rebate only needs a copy of the UPC. You can send the original one for the $10 rebate. Because we don't know for sure if it is valid I didn't include that $10 in the post on the main page. We don't want people blaming us if the rebate doesn't go through :)
i-bystander Posted March 11, 2005 Posted March 11, 2005 Yeah, the $10 rebate is worth a try and could definitely work since it's going to Sandisk directly.
