Did anyone pick one of these up today??? If so did you need a ticket??? It was not listed in circular as a door buster or requiring a ticket. I got there at 6:30 and one of the geeks told me they couldn't sell me one w/o a ticket until after 10:00 if there was any left. Talked to one of the managers I know there and he got me one. I lucked out but still don't understand why they required a ticket for an item that was not a door buster.

they were ticket items because they were in the back counter in the store i went to. no one even bought one i think. all the people wanting one probably went to staples for the 400 gig sata hd.

They gave out tickets for these only if the supply was limited. I got a ticket for the 160 gig version, since there were less than 10 available. They were supposed to have plenty of the 320 gig. When the doors opened, I went to the hard drive section, and there were only 2 of them there. I mistakenly thought a guy next to me was reaching for the second one (he had one already), when he took off with it as well! I looked around the store and then found out that nobody remembered where they had stocked them, and found a bunch sitting on a distant shelf in a center aisle. The every man for himself mentality inside the store throws off any morality issues outside the store, in regard to tickets and fair play.

It's a shame that it has to be that way. It comes with this 'consumer economy' we have, I suppose. This 'competition' thing brings out the worst characteristics in many people.
