maxtheman Posted November 22, 2007 Share Posted November 22, 2007 I know there proly lerking in some other thread on laptops or camcorders but, should i get the 229 bb laptop instead of the 400 sony at bb so that i can get the DVD camcorder for 200, total 435 with sony with printer, or 430 with toshiba laptop and dvd camcorder? The laptop i will only use to surf internet and write papers, put photos on, watch dvd's. So will i be able to get the 229 and not sacrifice what i want do do with the laptop, Because i really want the dvd camcorder. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

The $229 model is great, but it is sooo sooo underpowered and equipped it would be the equivilant of buying a NEW 1983 Ford Escort. Ultimately it's up to you but the specs on that $229 laptop are like 4 years old. Yes, it's a great price, but I don't really think it's a great investment. headlinenews Posted November 22, 2007 Share Posted November 22, 2007 Not true. The processor is actually a Core Solo now. But Vista make the notebook slower than a Pentium III running XP. Toshiba notebooks cannot "upgrade" to XP. Ithink the toshiba is the same as the one from 2 years ago that was 400, which I have, and its great for what you want it for.
