Mightywhitey Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I have not gotten a straight answer from Wal-mart and they will not give me the Model number of the 42" 1080p they are selling. However, the specs in the black friday ad DO NOT match either of the 42" models on the Polaroid website. In fact, according to Polaroid, they do not have a 42" model with a 1200:1 contrast ratio. I cannot post the links to the ads (I haven't been a member long enough) But the BF ad says the TV is a 1300:1 contrast ratio TV. The only 2 polaroid 42" TV's are 800:1 contrast ratio (YUCK) and 1500:1... If anyone could find out the model number Walmart is selling please give it to me!
Tawnie Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 I loooked at the 42" and the 37" last weekend side by side to the other models they have and it was enough for me to say no wal mart on BF. You get what you pay for and I was not impressed. They had notre dame football highlights running in HD and the polaroids were pixalated and lesser quality than the more expensive machines during action highlights.

Mightywhitey Posted November 21, 2007 Author Posted November 21, 2007 Ok... 1200:1... Polaroid still doesn't have a 42" model with those specs either :-p Is this a misprint or did Polaroid mass produce a low budget model specifically for BF? Also Walmart doesn't have any of these on display so it's impossible to predict what they will even look like. **edit** - I contacted a store and they said they were getting "at least 20 of them" and they are not a walmart superstore. I guess I'll wait and see. I refuse to buy a TV without seeing it first.
fuzzylogic Posted November 21, 2007 Posted November 21, 2007 They do have a model with a 1200:1 contrast ratio:FLM-4234BH If I have an opportunity, I'll check the model number when I go in to work tomorrow.
