yummy mummy
is it still crazy? are most of the sale items already gone/sold out??? is it worth it to venture out?
Marcster
There won't be any doorbusters, of course. And much of the two-day sale items are sold out on the first day, but you won't find the long lines either.
hwunch
Sears will be an extra 10% off their non-door busters items:)

Marcster
Arent they're still Saturday doorbusters though?I wasn't aware that anyone was doing Saturday doorbusters. The doorbusters that I am referring to are the ones that are offered from 5am - 10am (or similar hours) at a given store on BF. Are you thinking of something else? Or does someone have special sale items on Saturday only?
dmmiller
I"m not too sure what I"m thinking of actually.. LOL But I could have sworn I"ve seen ads in the past that have special saturday only things. (maybe kmart or jcpenney) sorry i'm not much help, but I could have sworn there was in the past... msl94
It has been my experience that the Saturday after Black Friday will be much more easier to navigate through the stores. In all honesty, the stores probably won't get busy until after lunch that day, as all (or most) of the BF shoppers will be sleeping.

yummy mummy
thanks so much for the info, can't wait! dh and i will have to bring our kids with us (we're coming from Canada) so i was hoping it would be less crazy! even though there won't be any doorbusters or anything, thats fine with me since stuff down there is always SO much cheaper than ours anyways! even if i can get sale prices, i'll be happy! shar6576
walmart will have sat. special buys, they will announce them on friday, but they are starting to list them now at walmart.com.i think the robotic dragonfly is 25 dollars.
dswright
Kmart is showing Saturday only items. Big Lots has a Saturday only portion to their sale. If you arrive early enough Saturday, you may find some deals leftover from Friday as merchandise was dumped somewhere else in the store, and the overnight crew has cleaned up from Friday and replentished stock. neile457
they don't have the doorbuster specials, but last year I was able to find several tvs and other items (portable dvd player comes to mind), in the week after BF at my local WalMarts. It was crazy how much stuff they had left, and it was still the BF doorbuster price. Good luck. (This goes to show how much the deals sucked there last year)

And much of the two-day sale items are sold out on the first day, but you won't find the long lines either. I wish i could say the same. The lines are 30-40 minute wait. Bestbuy , CC, Sears and Target are overcrowded. One place to avoid. . . the mall . . ..

Caprice64
I received in todays paper ads for Saturday sales from Sears, Kohl's, JCPenny, and Goodys. All but the Goody's ad mention doorbusters during certain hours on Sat. morning. The goody's ad has a 50 percent off on item coupon, but no doorbusters. outnumbered
I'm hitting the mall again tomorrow, but now I'm home again instead of at my parents' house, and "home" is a much busier area. I actually anticipate more crowds tomorrow than I saw today. But the Sears I was at had a really bad selection in some clothing sections and I need to try again at this one. I just need to get a few more things and I'll be done--but I may have to run out and get a paper, because I left all my Thanksgiving newspapers at my parents' house (why bring home piles of trash?)...oops. Should have clipped the Saturday coupons first! Anyone get a paper today? Are there coupons for tomorrow in it? I can still run out if there are. dsaman
Joann Fabrics has doorbusters tomorrow. They were insane today...the CUTTING line was 2 hours today at mine...THEN you had to wait in line to check out. I put away my flannel and fleece and headed out. I love BF, but that's just a little more than I was willing to do on 1 cup of coffee!
HAnderson
You can probably get anything that you are looking for off the BF add at walmart today we were there last night at 830 and they still had tons of BF items. Maybe next year they wil have a better add

I love BF, but that's just a little more than I was willing to do on 1 cup of coffee! I was so tempted to put my stuff away but my best friend made me stay:D And I am glad she did, I spent $28 on flannel that I stayed in line almost 3 hours for but saved WAY over $100!! J's was the only early, early morning sale I hit. I did go to Gottschaulk's (sp) later and JCP but I wasn't really in need of anything;)
slinkster65
Went to CC sicne they had a saturday ad in the paper today. Got 2 of the James Bond collections for just about $40. Awesome deal. I don't think anyone there knew about the ad. When the cashier saw the price she couldn't believe it...

chilimak
I would say it would be worth it to go out shopping today. Our paper had sale ads for JC Penney and some other stores for today and tomorrow. I agree, if you hit the right wal mart, you can find some BF deals at BF prices a few days after BF if you are lucky. We went out shopping BF afternoon and evening at the mall and TRU and neither was that busy. It was nice. Lots of sales still going on too. Go for it.
