Amazon- charged before shipping?

Not sure where to post this, but in my experience stores don't charge your credit card until they ship out the items- Amazon charged my card (a debit card) today, but it says on my order summary that they will not be shipped until Nov. 29- just curious.

I'm not sure.. but did you pay using a google checkout?

Someone posted on here before, that if you do, they take the money out

right away.

Other than that, I'm no help.

Amazon is weird about charging. Sometimes I'll get charged by them almost immediately, sometimes not until when the item(s) ship, and then sometimes not until after the item(s) ship!

Most of the time it is a pending charge or an authorization charge to make sure the funds are there and usually it will drop off without actually being deducted from your account. Thats how it works with my card anyway.

I have had amazon say that they aren't shipping until so and so date yet my item will arrive even before that date.
