Best Buy was actually having a promotion 8 free magazines and then a discounted rate

if you continued the subscription after the free 8 weeks

i THINK this is where i got my subscription a few years ago. people has me listed as a "professional" and i get the magazine for a dollar an issue. once you're in, you're golden because they haven't checked me out at all. and i get offers for other professional discounted magazines.

 

from their FAQ:

To qualify for reception room discount magazine subscriptions, all you have to do is include your business name or professional title with the order.
