cbbutler2
I have a 7th grade 12 year old son that I would like to get something to help him in school. But which one is better. Pros and cons? Thought I would try asking everyone on here first.
trbarginhunter
DD really liked her iQuest, but I suppose it depends on the subject. We haven't used a flypen so I don't have an exact comparison. HTH Tommya
ukdebc
My son (12) has both and truthfully he rarely uses either (that may be more of a reflection of how he avoids homework than the item itself). That being said... The IQuest seems to have more of a quiz/test feature - you buy the appropriate subject cartridge and select the correct text book (it seems that there are many publishers textbooks in there), select the chapter and then the IQuest runs through say 30 questions that the child answers. I really like this feature - if your childs text book is not listed you can select an age range and level appropriate questions are asked. I thought that he would really like the fly pen - but he really didn't seem to be interested - I see there is a new version out this year which may have more features. Hope this helps..... elena_398
I bought my son the flyPen for christmas. I bought the Spanish extra and other game ones. Hes 12 also. I figure if he loses interest, my 7 yr old will get in. Win/Win situation. LOL
