fomoco Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Does anyone know where to get a good deal on an electric fireplace? We are looking to put one in the bedroom- mostly for looks. I dont want those that burn the gel fuel. I just want the easy plug in deal. They have one I like at home depot for $800. I just wondered if I could find one for less elsewhere or on-line..... THANKS IN ADVANCE! Wendy
elena_398 Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I bought mine at Lowes. Oak mantel one. It was $699, but we bought it at the end of the season and it was discounted to $299. If its just for looks, keep an eye out for price lowering.
littlesdcen Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 Big Lots have them for 299.00. Costco has them for 5??.00 and so does Sams. I bought mine at Lowes a few years ago for 1/2 off at the end of season.
elena_398 Posted October 23, 2007 Posted October 23, 2007 I would wait for the end of the season at Home Depot/Lowes if its just for looks. You'll save a lot. BTW, I got this 3 years ago (HUGE oak mantel fireplace-plug-in) and its great. Really heats up our downstairs living room
MoOn-BaBy Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 Wal-Mart has them for $278 and I believe they have another model a smaller one for $199 aswell.
threelittlecupcakes Posted October 24, 2007 Posted October 24, 2007 If you have a Menards by you check there.
fomoco Posted October 25, 2007 Author Posted October 25, 2007 If you have a Menards by you check there. We dont have a menards yet, they are building it now! YEAH! Also, I did check on the above suggestions- sams, walmart. I liked the ones at sams - but my fav was oos. (only $600 too!) I would LOVE to be able to wait BUT I really do need it now. I'll keep looking. I did try to get the one from home depot with 10% off internet only coup and they would not give me the discount in store- someone had posted they did for them. They sd only if I opened a hd credit card- which I did not want to do.
