Tlafleur Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 Best Buy just clearanced out a 320Gig Seagate Free Agent Pro External Hard Drive. The price in store is $33.99 even though the tag says $101.99. Even most employees don't know about it yet it seems.
Gurnee Al Posted September 29, 2007 Posted September 29, 2007 This has to be a huge YMMV. Great deal if you can find it. I bought this couple months ago at BB for $89 on sale.
BellaVita Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 What best buy did you get it at? Its only at certain Best Buy's
ken9455 Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Went to BB Charleston SC, regular price:(
sharpie Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 Great Deal!! Do you happen to have the part #? I just checked the website and they are not showing a 320 gb hard drive in that brand or near that price even... may have to go to the store.. I am in Georgia and will let you know if they are available here...
Azzycat Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 They had 2 hard drives left at my local Best Buy in So CA. I had them price check both and both were scanning at $129.99. You were a very lucky duck and I'm very jealous!
sharpie Posted September 30, 2007 Posted September 30, 2007 No such luck at the Stone Mtn, GA Best Buy...
Tlafleur Posted October 1, 2007 Author Posted October 1, 2007 Hey, sorry about the late reply. I've been out of town. The part number is 9NG6AG-570 I believe. The UPC is 763649003039 and it's a FreeAgent Pro. I work as a vendor in a Best Buy in Athens, GA and apparently there's a lot of computer merchandise that's supposed to go on sale soon. I'm not sure how many stores will have these deals but I did purchase another at the Best Buy in Buford, GA as well. There aren't signs out for the deal, you would probably just have to bring it to the register to check.
Aaron Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 Best Buy doesnt even list this 320GB hard drive on their website: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?_dyncharset=ISO-8859-1&id=pcat17071&type=page&st=FreeAgent+Pro&sc=Global&cp=1&nrp=15&sp=&qp=&list=n&iht=y&usc=All+Categories&ks=960
Tlafleur Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 That's probably because it's a clearance item in the store. It popped up in our store as a clearance item two weeks ago and is now even cheaper. Maybe it's just the stores near me that still had them in stock.
BellaVita Posted October 2, 2007 Posted October 2, 2007 I really want this will stores deliver to other states?

And this 20gig just isnt cutting it, lol. Sure would be nice to have the extra HD space.
Tlafleur Posted October 2, 2007 Author Posted October 2, 2007 Buford still had some left in stock. In fact it seemed like they had no idea the hard drive went on clearance.
UltimateGamer Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 the one in new york shows regular price by their website of $89 how can i get it for the price of what u showed
paohenlee Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 checked 2 BBs in NJ one of them don't even have this drive the other one showed up as regular price is there something i can show them that says its on clearance?
Tlafleur Posted October 4, 2007 Author Posted October 4, 2007 It may just be the stores in my area. I apologize for that, I didn't do anything special. I just picked up the drives and brought them to the front. The display showed the original price but they were priced at a discount at the register.
nirvana4all Posted October 4, 2007 Posted October 4, 2007 sounds like you should buy a few for your "friends"
kanauru Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 i purchased one today at $89.00 [ online has the same price..i'm not sure if they changed it now ] i also used the 10% coupon so it came out to be $87.87 [ it took away the San Francisco tax ] sadly I wasn't able to buy it at $39.99 :[ . But it's cheaper than the lowest price online so it's all good. Also it's one very sleek external hard drive
Tlafleur Posted October 5, 2007 Author Posted October 5, 2007 Haha, I totally would buy some but the closest store to me is sold out. The other store in Buford is over an hour away. Otherwise I'd be happy to pick some more up.
speeddiva Posted October 5, 2007 Posted October 5, 2007 Fort Wayne BB had them clearanced at $89.99....oh well, it was worth a shot!
Tlafleur Posted October 6, 2007 Author Posted October 6, 2007 So, I spoke with the store manager in my store. He said that most stores are not going to sell it for that price because they actually lose $60 per hard drive. The managers in other stores have the option of changing the price in the system but if a customer raises enough of a fuss they are supposed to bring the price to $33.99. Also, the hard drive is a Free Agent Pro now a Free Agent which is what we now have in our store. Our store is sold out but if we get anymore I'll pick up a few to send out to you guys.
UltimateGamer Posted October 6, 2007 Posted October 6, 2007 sounds great, but i wish the bestbuy's in ny had them in clearance price cause they are awesome for the discount price of $34
