I have seen several different kinds and many prices. I have NO IDEA what the difference is. We have DSL through an ethernet connection. What in the world do I need.... I went to buy.com and there were SO MANY. Help!

If you want to use Buy.com, go with the Linksys WRT54G. It's a solid and reliable router. I've got some still running that are 3 years old, whereas I've never had a Netgear or Belkin last more than 9 months. http://www.buy.com/prod/linksys-wireless-g-broadband-router-wrt54g/q/loc/101/10336386.html

If you are willing to buy elsewhere, I'd recommend a Buffalo WHR-HP-G54. They have great range and run reliably. You can also load a 3rd party firmware on it (takes a little work, but it's not that hard) to really open up it's capabilities. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833162134

D-Link & Netgear = complete junk. http://s23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/Marcster2005/Smileypad/Angry/thsmashcomputer.gif

Go with Linksys. I've heard that Buffalo are just as good as Linksys but are more complicated to set up.

So either Linksys or Buffalo.

I am also looking for a good deal on a Wireless Router. Tried D-Link which was a mistake. Could not get it set up. when I opened the boxes should have been a red flag thrown up when it had a note if you have difficulty setting this up please contact. D-Link. I want one that is simple to set up. any suggestions. thanks
