Not sure if this should go here but here goes...

I need the help of any quilter's out there. My mil started quilting about a year ago. Last year I made scrapbooks for all the grandparents but I need a new idea for this year. She just gave us a quilt she made for us and it is beautiful. What would be a good gift for a quilter? I'm sure she can probably use a new sewing basket but what kind of latest and greatest quilting gadgets could she really use? This is one are where I am totally clueless!! TIA

I was thinking that but also want to get her some gadgets. She filled a bag with all kinds of bath and beauty stuff for me last year and I wanted to do something along the same lines...

Okay let me think.... I love giving gift suggestions.

Okay...Here's one site that looks neat.

http://www.ericas.com/quilting/tools/misctools.htm

I'll be back with more stuff.

How about one of these

Or you can make her a basket that she could later use to put all of her sewing stuff in. And add a lot of stuff from the above link.

Or you could go all out and fill the Tote with Wheels with all kings of sewing stuff and patterns and books.

I saw a website called www.giftsforquilters.com they might have some ideas for you. I wuld suggest, patterns, various scissors, quilting pins, pin cushion, quilting thread of various colors, if you know how she binds them you could get some of that. My grandmother use to quilt so my DD painted her a picture of a patchwork quilt and framed it for her sewing room (she loved it)
