that every time I PM somebody my addy for coupons that they have volunteered to give away, I never have received what I was promised?

bad luck? I've given away tons of coupons on GD, and no GDer has ever stiffed me... sorry for your bad luck. If it was a 1st come first serve situation, maybe you weren't first?

I have never had a problem. Maybe they were already promised to someone else by the time you responded.

I looked through your other posts. If it's what I think you are talking about that was only a little over a week ago. People do have lives and it may take them a few days to get something in the mail. Then depending on where you live it may take longer to get to you. If you have a problem you should probably PM whoever was supposed to send you the coupons rather than post a thread about it. We're not psychics here (well, I'm not...I can't speak for anyone else). :)

I agree with bayhay say...sometimes it takes awhile. I promised coupons to a fellow gottadealer a couple weeks ago and they JUST went out earlier this week. I simply didn't have any time to get to the post office. (we don't mail things from home) I feel really horrible that she had to wait so long for them!!

We just have to try to be understanding about what may be going on in the lives of others. If you're really concerned about it, just pm the person. You'll have an answer and it might make you feel better :)

A week ago..a month ago. I have done both. I have to resign myself to the fact that people are unreliable and do not do what is expeced of them. If I tell somebody that I am going to do something, by golly it gets done in a timely manner. Time is money. Your word is your bond. I don't get it. You had enough time to be here posting?????

Seriously, you're getting rude. I understand that you're upset about not getting your coupons but you really should PM whoever you have a problem with instead of doing it here. I'm just glad I never promised you any coupons.

Did you send them money to cover the postage? Are you out anything in the process? Just curious. Because it is very nice of people to give them away in the first place when so many people sell them or just use them or throw them away. I understand that you may be patiently waiting, but calling someone out (by name or just in general) on it is really not the right way to go about things. Sometimes it takes a while for mail to get somewhere.

 

As far as someone having the time to post on here and not the time to mail something...that one I have trouble with. Who are you to question someone posting on here in relation to their spare time? In my case, I may be on here posting, but that does not mean I can just run to the post office instead. You don't know the person's situation. Right now my baby is asleep. I am on here posting because I am done with stuff around the house, supper is over, my son is playing a little before bed, and I am taking some me time. If I had something to mail, I would not go wake my baby girl up to go to the post office. I would let her sleep. And up until Friday when my husband deployed to Iraq, we were sharing 1 vehicle so that would have left me no way to run somewhere.

 

Now that said, I don't have anything to mail to anyone, and I am not sure who you are speaking of. But that is not the point. When someone goes out of their way to offer you something out of the kindness of their heart, you should kindly accept it -- whenever it comes. As the saying goes, "Don't look a gift horse in the mouth." And considering your remarks, if I were the one sending you coupons, I would not now because of your statements. But that is just me.

I feel your pain really. Just email the person that was willing to give them to you to see whats happening. There might be something going on to were they can't get them out to you as promised. Or may I suggest a coupon sight. I know off the top of my head of one. I know theres more, but I can't think of them. Theres alot of boardies on here that know more then me I'm sure. But anyways here's the one I know.

I absolutely agree. I just mailed out out a few freebies to some others on here (not you) and I certainly appreciate their patience. Any I hate to be be mean, but if I ever have a freebie that interests you, I sometimes take longer than may meet your expectations, so just pass on any of my offers as I sure would hate toget you this buzzed up for something that I give away and even pay the postage for out of my own pocket. But you have fun, and I'm sure you'll get lots of future freebie offers. Oh, I did say have fun, didn't I?
