misshayley Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 we need to buy a new toilet, we are remodeling the bathroom because we are trying to sell the house. I want a cheap priced toilet to put in there since we won't be using it for long. Where can I find one?
elena_398 Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Not sure who has the cheapest, but Lowes and Home Depot carry everthing from the top of the line ones to the basic white toilet. Its funny because when we remodeled ours, we got the $179 toilet- elongated bowl and bisque in color. Went all out. Wouldn't you know I've had nothing but problems. LOL. Then to find out the parts are all special order.
Marcster Posted March 13, 2007 Posted March 13, 2007 Both Lowes and Home Depot have basic white toilets for about $75. Almond-colored toilets are about $125.
pleasant Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 My DH is a plumber and he can get stuff slightly discounted from the supply house he frequents. When one of his friends needs something plumbing related he gives them the OK to put it on his account (they pay for it but if the supply house rings in under his acct they get his discount.) Long story to say if you know someone that could hook you up that would help some. If not, it wouldn't hurt to call a local plumbing supply store. I know the one here can sell to individuals. Or at least search the web for a 10% Home Depot or Lowe's coupon.
amyers12345 Posted March 15, 2007 Posted March 15, 2007 We got our last one for $40 at Lowe's. You have to buy the wax seal, seat and the line separately, which amounted to $50 at Lowe's or $8 at walmart. It's just a small one, but it's for the kid's bathroom. You buy the tank and bowl separately. I think they are around $20 for each piece.
GrannyRuth Posted March 19, 2007 Posted March 19, 2007 Lowes also has a "toilet to go" everything you need in one box. we got ours a few months back & they were $69. for it all. Just take it home & install.
