They ask in advance because people have a way of changing their demographic information to suit the requirements of surveys/focus groups. Your kids names you can either skip or write "Private" under their first names. They ask so they can qualify/disqualify you for projects in advance for the same reasons as previously mentioned.

Briefing over the phone with QI supervisor.

Set an appointment at the designated tax location to get your taxes done.

Go into the tax location and get your own taxes done. Apply for a Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL). Get copies of all documents to ship back to us.

Fill out the questionnaire immediately after you get your taxes done but away from the tax location.

FedEx back the following:

Receipt for reimbursement. You will not be reimbursed without a receipt.

Completed questionnaire.

Copy of your tax documents.

NOTE: You can white out information such as your social security number, income, etc.

All instruction materials we sent you

Any other documents or materials you received from the tax location.

We will:

Reimburse you for the cost of you doing your taxes.

Reimburse you for any loan fees associated with getting a Refund Anticipation Loan (RAL).

Pay you a $100 incentive for completing the project.

Pay for Fed-Ex cost of shipping package to us (we will provide you with a FedEx Airbill so you will not have to front this amount.)

 

You will be paid only if all materials are returned back to us on time and completed properly.

It is about a product that is being offered by H&R Block called the “Emerald Advance Line of Credit.” We are looking for a few select people who are willing to go into an H&R Block store location and apply for an Emerald Advance Line of Credit, and evaluate your experience during the application process. If you are able to participate and fully complete the study, we will compensate you $150.00 as a token of our appreciation.

The Emerald Advance is a year-round line of credit. A line of credit allows you to borrow, repay and re-borrow up to your available credit limit. For this study, we’d like you to apply for the Emerald Advance Line of Credit at an H&R Block store in your city that we will specify, go through the entire application process, and fill out a short questionnaire immediately after your experience. We will then cancel your Emerald Advance Line of Credit immediately, so that you will not be charged a fee for opening the line of credit.

 

In order to apply for the Emerald Advance, you will need to bring an earnings statement (e.g., pay stub, W-2 or other statement of recurring income), and adequate, unexpired personal identification (e.g., current driver’s license or state-issued ID card with photo). There are no up-front application fees for applying for the Emerald Advance, but keep in mind that the Emerald Advance is subject to credit approval because it is a line of credit. Part of the Emerald Advance application process involves a credit check which will appear as a credit inquiry on your credit report. A single inquiry to your credit report is unlikely to have an impact on your credit score.

 

Because you are applying for an actual Emerald Advance line of credit, it is possible that you may be approved for the line of credit and be presented with an H&R Block Emerald Prepaid MasterCard to access the funds on the Emerald Advance line of credit. If you do receive an H&R Block Emerald Prepaid MasterCard, please do not transfer any funds to the Emerald Card or withdraw any money from the Card, even if the H&R Block professional offers you to do so. Once you have completed the study, we will cancel the account and the card for you. And please note that in order for us to cancel the account for you, we will need to ask you for your last 4 digits of your Social Security Number. If you do not wish to provide us with the last 4 digits of your Social Security number in order to cancel the account for you, you MUST cancel your Emerald Advance line of credit yourself within 3 business days after you apply.

 

If you elect to keep the Emerald Advance line of credit, or if you have elected not to provide us with the last 4 digits of your Social Security Number and fail to cancel the account yourself within 3 business days of the application, you will be responsible for complying with all of the terms and conditions set forth in the application materials. You will also be required to repay any amounts you draw from the line, including the $45 annual fee and the finance charges. You may also cancel your Emerald Advance line of credit if you are approved for it, by following the cancellation procedure set forth in the application materials. However, please note that you cannot cancel the Emerald Advance if you have drawn funds from the line, unless you pay the line of credit down to zero before you cancel it.
