GrannyRuth Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Anyone ever see a good deal on Oreck Vacs. I understand they are the best. I have dogs in the house & I live on a farm ,so I need a really great vac. Thanks for any help coupons or advice.

Ripn Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 Oreck is not so good as tested by Consumer Reports. 2 models rated in the middle to bottom. 2 of their BestBuys are Kenmore (Sears) Progressive with Direct Drive 35922 ...for about $300 Eureka Boss Smart Vac Ultra 4870...for about $150

DaveL Posted January 10, 2007 Posted January 10, 2007 In buying an Oreck or Dyson you are buying marketing. I don't want to say they aren't good vacuums, however a lot of people have said they are overpriced for what you get. Look at the consumer reports best buys located above or consider Sanitaire. I saw a dealer do a presentation that sold both types and the Sanitaire was cheaper and more powerful than the Dyson. Thats just my opinion. Hope it helps.
