scrapwave Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Sorry, it's OT as it's not a hot deal...but I am looking at a digital camera and the site offers the "Bill Me Later" service..never used it and wondered if anyone has and if it's ok to use? I'll get a good check at the first of Feb. so I could order now and use the "Bill Me Later" and get 90 day no payment thing and pay it off in Feb. Anyway, not sure if this program is any good to use or not...any input appreciated! Thanks!
jazzy442 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I`ve used it quite a few times and never had any problems.
scrapwave Posted January 9, 2007 Author Posted January 9, 2007 I`ve used it quite a few times and never had any problems. Thanks for the reply! Just wanted to make some input on whether it was a decent service. :) Thanks again!
April7575 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I have used it 3 times and have never had any issues. I think it is backed by Chase Bank.
April7575 Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 Do you pay extra to pay later? Are you referring to the 90 day defferment? If so, then in my case, I never have been. If you don't pay the balance by the end of that 90 days, though you will have to pay the interest.
d56nut Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 I've used the Bill Me Later service on many purchases. I love it! You don't have to enter your cc info and they just send you a bill once a month. Make sure to get it paid off before they start charging you interest. If I remember correctly, they have a high interest rate. Michelle
Ripn Posted January 9, 2007 Posted January 9, 2007 It's legitimate...heard it mentioned on Clark Howard's show. It's a merchants way to bust up the shared monopoly the credit cards have on merchant fees. Bill Me Later charges about half the processing fee of Mastercard & Visa.
scrapwave Posted January 9, 2007 Author Posted January 9, 2007 Thanks everyone for the input. I did order the new camera last night and used Bill Me Later. I will pay it off before the 90 days is up as the total was only $341. But I really wanted to get the camera now and didn't have that much to spare at this moment but will be able to pay it off next month. Got a Canon Powershot A640....10 MP digital!
