me too!!!! My son just got the Leapster LMax for Christmas and I'd rather use regular rechargeable batteries instead of the one from Leapfrog.

Sams Club usually has an Energizer AA/AAA recharger with 8AA and 4AAA batteries for about $20.

Personally I simply love the PowerEX rechargeables and the MAHA 401FS charger. I got mine from Thomas Distributing. Just remember the higher the mAh number the longer the charge will last. My AA's are 2700 and my AAA's are 1000. That charger will handle both in any combination from one to four batteries. I'm too new to be able to post a link so you will have to do a search for Thomas Distributing. VERY good and fast service.

I was in Walmart and in the camera department they had a Kodak camera accessory bag that contained a charger with 4 AA batteries for under $20. The great thing was that the charger could also be used for AAA(batteries not included). Plus, you get a pretty good size camera bag as well plus a couple of other accessories that I don't remember...

I am in need of AAA recharger and batteries...bought my youngest a geo-trax train set and it uses 18 AAA batteries between the 2 trains and all the accessories that go along with it! I need like an industrial charger!! LOL

I got a Duracell 15-minute charger from Wal-Mart for $27 and it came with 4 AA's, but also charges AAA. It also charged my Rayovac batteries in the 15 minutes. It's well worth the money for the quick charge.
