alimfp Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Okay, I just gotta say - this is a NICE guitar! In fact, I'd say it's worth the $150 retail, but at just under $60 it's a steal. I gifted this guitar to a friend of mine and they love it. I checked it out first though and it was so nice. I've heard only rave reviews from my friends that I gave one too.
foghornleghorn Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Or you can get this Squier Fat Strat for $99 ($88 for new customers) right now while they last. I bought one this morning (1am). Another giant online vendor has this same guitar for $249. http://www.overstock.com/cgi-bin/d2.cgi?PAGE=PROFRAME&PROD_ID=2216351
magickallight Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 I hope overstock is ready for the influx of customers TODAY... not a good thing yesterday! This DOES look nice - I am done with Christmas - but might make a nice B'day gift for DS.
christmasangel Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Okay- which do I buy for my hubby who wants to start playing but has never played in his life?!?!?
christmasangel Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Neither of these come with an Amp or a bag do they??? I may buy it from the Guitar Center.com instead.

foghornleghorn Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Maybe this can help... Guitar Center is great... But also check out Musician's Friend. ..and spend a little extra for an amp rather than the cheap Bundled thingy. A great Guitar and crappy amp sounds crappy.A crappy Guitar and a great amp sounds better.A great guitar and a great amp... well, you see my point. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/electric_guitars/squier/satin_trans_fat_stratocaster_hss/index.html http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/reviews/electric_guitars/squier/bullet/index.html

Cherrymm Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 I'm curious how today went on Overstock. After yesterdays Pirates fiasco I didn't even try to get on at noon today. Anyone have any luck?
