I can get her a West Bend 300 Watt Mixer for $80 (jcpennys) or a KitchenAid K4533 Classic 250 Watt for abou $135. (amazon) Is the KitchenAid really that much better? nat1jen Posted December 4, 2006 Share Posted December 4, 2006 Kitchen Aid is da bomb! I just upgraded to a 475 watt mixer for Christmas. (Merry Christmas to me.) I had a coupon at Costco. It is incredible. My last Kitchen Aid was an Artisan refurbished model available at Amazon. You can get some great deals with the refurbished mixers. They come with a 6 month warranty.
