shoppinnut Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 I'm new to this, so what exactly is cyber Monday??
ftrainline Posted November 24, 2006 Author Posted November 24, 2006 I'm new to this, so what exactly is cyber Monday??Cyber Monday is a made up aggressive marketing push by industry boosters that claim the monday after black friday as the biggest sales day of the year for online merchants. In reality '05 data shows more consumers visited online retail sites on Cyber Monday than on any other day during the last holiday season. CM actually was the 9th busiest day for online retailers You know it's alot of hype when the biggest online mercant Amazon.com doesn't offer special discounts on that day. There's an article in today's technology section of the NY Times on Cyber Monday.
jennirv4967 Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Last year I couldn't go out for Black Friday because of the boys, so I was really excited about Cyber Monday. It was a HUGE disappointment. I really hope they improve this year.
carolinagirl615 Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Anybody ready for "Cyber Monday" ?Whats Cyber Monday?!...Are the deals better than Black Friday?!
pcsoon Posted November 25, 2006 Posted November 25, 2006 Cyber Monday is just a name made up by online retailers. Its the start of holiday shopping online. It took hold last year because of the media coverage by news channels who thought the name was catchy enough to be news worthy. It has no substance and most importantly no deals.
