shopperstef Posted December 1, 2004 Posted December 1, 2004 Did anyone else see all of the TV ads? I saw 50% off sales at JC Penney, Mervyn's, Linens & Things. I also saw an ad for a sale at Target. What's the deal here? First day of December the reason or something?
kbasketcr8r Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 My feeling is that they screwed up on the BF sales. Not enough good doorbusters except for computer-oriented products, some stores with no decent doorbusters at all, and they felt the wrath of the people. I didn't even go- I needed barbies and bratz dolls, wrestlers, and an ipod. Target didn't even have doorbusters- Mervyn's sale was just like the sales they have all the time. Macy's didn't have anything special- maybe I just was looking for different things this year, but I was not impressed with TRU, KB, Target- I think we have alot better sales to look forward to in the coming weeks (fingers crossed).
Poetic Soul Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 I saw Sears was having a sale 12/1 and 12/2 also.
outnumbered Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 Yep, I was just at Sears tonight. Lots of stuff was 30% off, from what I could tell. Got a $34 item for $22.99, got a $13.50 item for $9.something. Had all 3 kids with me so I didn't get to scope out much else. And I am now DONE shopping for my side of the family. Now to just finish off dh's side, and get the last toy for our kids...and I will be all done!
outnumbered Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 LOL. Do you want the junior's sweater or the men's dress socks? (Yes, socks. I bought socks as a gift. My dad actually requested them...thank goodness I also got him something nicer too!)
Guest DigDoug Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 Men are sooooo practical, so socks would be good in my book. My girlfriend KNOWS exactly what to get me for any occasion. I'm soooo damn lucky. I was not a fan of getting fuzzy little stuffed animals. *barf*
outnumbered Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 Aha. So then you'd prefer the lavendar fuzzy hoodie sweater with little pom-poms? I'll be sure to send it right along.
Guest AshleyNichole Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 LOL - I put socks on my Christmas list for my family... I figure they can't mess that one up too much.
Guest Luckycharm Posted December 2, 2004 Posted December 2, 2004 OMG I had to do my weekly clean up at Kohls yesterday (clean and stock Crayola thru Xmas) Got to the first store and they were having 50% off tons of stuff PLUS Senior Citizens were scoring another 15% off anything..........MOBBED!!! I blew the other two stores off, No way was I going through that mob. I'll do the other two today or tomorrow
