gunderda Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 sorry if this was already posted somewhere else. i'm in iowa and i just looked up best buys ad on their website for thanksgiving. it's completely different than the one originally posted no door busters what-so-ever, just a $15 gift card for every $100 spent deal, however i then changed the zipcode to where my parents live (east coast) and the original ad (with door busters) then shows up. i just find that strange that some BB stores won't have the door busters?
fairydustcrissy Posted November 21, 2006 Posted November 21, 2006 Some states do not allow companies to sell items below what they cost to make. Most door busters are just that, to lure you into the store. So, if you are in one of those states, your prices will be more

There is another member of the community that lives in your state. Below is a link to the thread about the Iowa BB ad. http://forums.gottadeal.com/showthread.php?t=56621 Good luck and remember that gottadeal.com is open year around!
Ajshope Posted November 22, 2006 Posted November 22, 2006 I don't think it has anything to do with the states not allowing prices below cost. This will actually be my 3rd BF with Best Buy and last year our district (Columbus and Dayton Ohio) didn't run the national ad. In fact we had the same deal that you are saying that Iowa is doing this year.
