me and a friend were at walmart to pick up one toy they had for 10 bucks. my friend had the ad with her to make sure we got the correct toy and when we went up to the cashier she asked if we were doing a price match because she saw the ad. we said no, but then the toy rang up at the wrong price so she changed it right away with no problem.

kohls was my first stop this year. was the 2nd person at one set of doors so i could see inside. there was about 3 or 4 people who were allowed to shop around 4:30, saw one lady walking around with a couple dvd players, and then about a quarter till 5 all of them were patiently waiting at the cash registers. not sure if i thought it was unfair... there was only a slight few... but maybe if i was going for the popular things i might have cared. however my brother works at menards and they aren't allowed to shop while they are working. if he found out an employee was hiding a door buster item (or any other item) then he would go get it and put it back on the shelves. he said he had to do that more than a couple of times for one employee. it probably varies from store to store. some managers go by they rules and some don't.

it's back up now, and the ad that said they were closed on thanksgiving is now gone and replaced with one that says they are now open thanksgiving. kind of a bummer, now i'll have to shop there tomorrow.

i think i looked at the ads on kmart.com yesterday but today i goto the website and the link to the circulars is GONE? i'm very confused about the wed/thurs sale thing. i was kinda happy the sale was today so i plan on going there right after work! (i get off early today) i suppose i'll just stop in there and see if those things are on sale. and maybe they'll have the ad in stores.

if this many people are pissed off about it, it might just be worth my time to stop by BB and check it out. hoping they don't do this next year cause i was really wanting to camp out next year are the "secret" deals shown online not valid for iowa or neb either?

i just noticed it also!! i was so excited about the super cheap lcd and plasmas for the 7 hour specials but THANKFULLY i made no plans to camp out this year for them. i wonder what this stupid special will do for the lines?

sorry if this was already posted somewhere else. i'm in iowa and i just looked up best buys ad on their website for thanksgiving. it's completely different than the one originally posted no door busters what-so-ever, just a $15 gift card for every $100 spent deal, however i then changed the zipcode to where my parents live (east coast) and the original ad (with door busters) then shows up. i just find that strange that some BB stores won't have the door busters?

the ad should come out today or within the next few days. my source also says there isn't anything special this year. just the same things like other stores, games, dvds, combo players, small lcd etc...

or they should be able to do an account lookup when you get up the cash register. or i've seen it also when they're super busy and you get a cashier who seems to have been working there for awhile, they might just go ahead and enter in the discount so they don't have to hold up the lines.
