BF Price Match Question

Recommended Posts

I am interested in purchasing the 42 inch Toshiba plasma Tv Sears will be selling on BF.

If I purcased it today, and went back on BF, would Sears refund me the $800 difference.

I have read different answers to this question. I think the clearest understanding I have so far is that I would have to do this during the special hours of 5:00 - 11:00 am.

Any input would be appreciated. Thanks, Scott

I ordered the same TV two weeks ago at the regular price after talking with my local sears owner. He said I could pick it up and price match it on black friday. If for some reason it wasn't actually in any local ads, I could just return it and they would take it off my credit card.

Yep as long as you go durning the time the tv is on sale they should give you a refund. That's how it works at my Sears store.

Exactly what I was told at Sears last night. I went in to buy the 42" Panasonic Plasma (current price $1799) and was told that they would match the BF Best Buy price ($999) if I come in Friday morning during the sale. I am not too worried as the salesguy said he would take care of it for me as he is working Friday. Markdowns of this magnitude requireme management approval.

So in sum: Sears will honor its price policy (as stated on its website and will match BF prices during the sale hours! :)

Happy Thanksgiving all!

I also confirmed that the Sears in Coon Rapids MN will also price match the competitors Black Friday ads. In fact, they offered me the Panasonic 42" Plasma HDTV last night at the Best Buy Black Friday ad.

Glad I waited, Ultimate Electronics has the same Panasonic 42" HDTV in their Black Friday ad for $849.99 and the 50" Panasonic HDTV for $1999.99!!!! :D I will be at Sears tomorrow to price match the 50" Panasonic, Sony PSP, and some games while also getting that air compressor and maybe the ping-pong table!!

Happy shopping, be safe out there!

Went to Sears in Hicksville, NY around 5:30 this morning to try to price match ($999)the BB 42" Panasonic plasma...the salesman was reluctant, but he then asked his manager (luckily in front of a line of customers)...the manager agreed to do it...and I got the 10% price difference without even asking for that (I didn't want to get greedy). So I got the sweet TV for $950 without camping out...Thank You Sears:D

Ah, yes, printed up the CC Sony Bravia 40" LCD price, and since the line was around the store there, drove over to Sears, was about 20th in line, went to electronics, flagged a salesman, and got the pricematch plus 10% immediately without question.

It was better to go at 5am to avoid the price match confrontation. I doubt Sears would want to start arguing in front of other customers. The store greeter was nice and the salesman was nice. Got credited 287 for a total of 981 including taxes. Sears was awesome today!

Great job Wolfdevil. Like a lot of other stores, Sears was all over the place as far as price matches go. Your store would do it, but mine wouldn't. They were really strict on not matching doorbusters--I had a friend in another state who had the same experience. I ended up with the $1199.00 CC sale price (since that TV was not actually a doorbuster) less the 10% price match difference.

Anytime you can get this Panny for less than $1400-1500 you're getting a bargain. In your case, a great bargain!
